What are Emergency pop-up Distribution events?
In response to the critical need during the COVID-19 crisis, Miami Diaper Bank introduced a new layer to our service model in 2020: pop-up diaper distribution. These low-barrier, drive-thru and/or walk-up diaper donation events connect free diapers and other baby essentials directly to families who face barriers to accessing diapers in their community.
Some of these barriers include lack of awareness about services, lack of access to local service providers who donate diapers, and ineligibility to receive services at a local agency that distributes diapers. Miami Diaper Bank is the only diaper bank in Miami-Dade and the only emergency pop-up diaper distribution provider in the County. The Pop-up Diaper Distribution program fills a gap in services for children and families with short-term diaper need who do not have access to free diapers.
Pop-up Diaper Distribution is supported in part by a small group of sponsors; therefore most events have a very limited capacity which require parents and caregivers to pre-register for each event.

Please note Pop-up distribution are not a recurrent form of assistance. All families must pre-register for events when available AND must provide proof of child as well as proof that they are receiving any other government assistance to qualify.
