What is the Fl-DDDRp

Federal Grant

Diaper Distribution Demonstration and Research Pilot (DDDRP) – the first-ever federal program dedicated to providing diaper assistance to families with low incomes. The DDDRP provides funding to expand diaper distribution services for families with low incomes through a robust network of community partners. In addition to providing diapers and diapering supplies, grant recipients and their partners connect families to wraparound support services.

State Partners

The DDDRP provides funding to Community Service Block Grant (CBSG) state associations like the Florida Association for Community Action (FACA). FACA will support the sub-recipient, the Miami Diaper Bank, by providing trainings, technical assistance, and project oversight. In addition to the 75 diapers provided monthly per child, FACA will help to facilitate wraparound services to support further self-sufficiency for families.

Local Partners

The FL-DDDRP project aims to improve the health and economic well-being of diverse families with low incomes in South Florida through the regular distribution of diapers and diapering supplies. Miami Diaper Bank is the main implementation partner. Collaboration with the Healthy Start Coalition of Miami-Dade, Miami-Dade Community Action and Human Services Department (MCAHSD), and The Early Learning Coalition of Miami-Dade & Monroe will support this grant with Wraparound services for families.

How does the FL-DDDRP work for miami-dade residents?

Over the project period, Miami Diaper Bank and its partners will connect a monthly supply of 75 diapers and diapering supplies to a minimum of 2,000 unduplicated children in Miami-Dade.
